Look: Nude

Not nude as in naked, but nude as in one of Spring's nicest shades! I feel that being fat it's easy to shy away from light and sheer colours in preference for darker shades but I'm all for wearing brights and I think that nude and peach shades are a nice way to brighten up your wardrobe whilst remaining classy and neutral. For more nude pieces hit up ASOS.

OOTD: Ruffles & Stuff

Much to my dismay it snowed again but rather than drag out the fUGGs and some comfy clothes I decided to hell with it! The weather isn't going to ruin my mood or my wardrobe.
Dress: New Look
Belt: Came with dress
Blazer: New Look
Shoes: New Look
Tights: Evans
Hairband: Primark

My little sister (in her pjs) wanted to jump in on the photo action

OOTD: More Grey!

Dress: New Look
Tights: Evans

I picked up some new tights a bright blue pair and this pair, they're ribbed (not that you can tell in these photos!). This is one of those go to comfy dresses, i love the sweetheart shape of the top and the bubble hem.

OOTD: Grey

Weird angle and another boring outfit but this pretty much sums up how I feel right now, grey and dull. I'm hoping that with my last exam being tomorrow, by the weekend and next week I'll be less stressed and more inspired!

Is anyone else as excited as I am for spring to arrive?

Happy Tag

10 things that make me happy:

1. My friends - all crazy in their own way they never fail to make my day (rhyming like a pro!)

2. Music - my iPod is practically an extension of me and there's nothing like blasting some good tunes to make me feel good

3. Shopping - what's not to love? Especially if I'm being bought things! ;)

4. Spontaneity - the rush of doing something new or different without over thinking it

5. People - too often it's the negative aspects of life and the world which are broadcast but people never fail to amaze and inspire me. The courage, determination and generosity of some is truly astounding and it makes me happy knowing that the world is filled with such wonderful people

6. Surprises - doesn't matter how big or small, I love being surprised. I'm definitely not one of those people that searches for their presents

7. Sunshine - being stuck in what seems like perpetual Winter, I didn't realise just how much I love the sun!

8. You - it sounds cheesy but I didn't expect anyone to read my blog so to have followers and to get such lovely feedback never fails to put a smile on my face!

9. Cute days - Those rare days where I feel happy with my appearance, clothing and within myself. Life's always better when you feel great!

10. Hugs - especially off my little sister when I'm feeling cack

I tag whoever wants to inject some happiness into their day.

Look: Nautical

The nautical trend of red, white and blue is a timeless classic, usually reinvented each spring/summer to fit in with current trends it is by far my favourite! With anchors, buttons and stripes it reminds me of all things summery.

Sunday Morning, Rain Is Falling

excuse my weird face

I pretty much spent my Sunday lazing around, looking like this, watching Skins and generally avoiding more revision. I can't wait for my exams to be over, last one this Friday!

I enjoyed reading all of the blog and comment responses to the ASOS Curve range. Over the course of the day more items were added and from the response on ASOS Life, it seems that more items are going to be added over the next few days when more stock comes in. Overall the general consensus seems to be that it's a good starting line with nice basics and the hope is that more on trend and colourful pieces will be added in the future! From my experience ASOS has amazing customer care so I have no doubts that they'll listen to what's being said and try their best to respond. There were a few negative nellys who had nothing but bad things to say but hey ho you can't please everyone. What do you think of the line so far?

My Mum picked up this skirt for me whilst doing the weekly shop, it was £3.50! I love sales.

Oh and I was featured in a Fat Shopaholic trends post. So thanks Tiffany!

How was your weekend?

ASOS CURVE

Quick post before I run off to college, ASOS Curve has launched! I don't have time to have a proper look but I noticed the amazing blazer isn't there, as well as some other items seen in the previews hmmm

Check it out HERE!

EDIT: Tell them what you think about the line and anything you want to see in it on Twitter

I Can't Sleep In The Wake Of Saturday

Revision and exams are taking over my life! Horrific. I'm excited to finally see the ASOS Curve line tomorrow though. Although the preview was pretty average, I love the reviews I've seen! I'm so in love with the blazer and the black dress. Check out some of the pieces here:

Young, Fat & Fabulous

Musings Of A Fatshionista

Saks In The City

Golden Globes

I didn't watch the Golden Globes but red carpet fashion always makes for good viewing. So, in no particular order...

Smashed it!

Nudes, ruffles, fishtails, it's girly gone glam crazy and I love it!

Maybe next time...

Honourable Mention:

Walking away with the best actress award, Sandra Bullock looked stunning in a Bottega Veneta dress. So much love for the deep purple!

Of course this is just my opinion! What do you think, who rocked it and who should have left their dress at home?

Sunday Reading

It's that time again, the weekend's almost over and Monday morning looms! My weekend consisted of a couple of chill nights in with my chicas and I pretty much spent my Sunday reading through a stack of magazines. I almost forgot about picking up the News Of The World for the free Barry M kit and the first Tesco I went into didn't have any left but I managed to grab one in my little Tesco!

So this week seems to be a week of experimenting with my hair. It's in desperate need of a relaxing and I'm sick of shoving it back into hairbands so I attempted moonbeamstarligh's bow tutorial to try and liven things up. Being a bow fanatic I thought it was beyond adorable and was pleased with the outcome.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and here's to a good week!

OOTD: We Are Golden

I've been wanting to try out knee highs for a while but besides with wellies at Leeds festival, I don't really know how to wear them! Although my brother thinks I look ridiculous, I think they look okay. I also attempted kelanjo19's mesy up do, I kind of like it but would prefer if it was less big and messy, haha. I'm so glad it's the weekend! Although I have nothing planned as of yet, anything is better than college!

OOTD: Sick of Snow

I am sick of winter! The snow, the ice, the beyond freezing temperatures... bleh. For the moment I've pretty much given up when it comes to dressing as the effort of getting out of my warm bed to face the cold, dark mornings and college is stressful enough haha. Anyways enough rambling here is my half assed attempt for the day:Please excuse my face and hair, I was at college until 5

Blazer: New Look
T Shirt: New Look
Skirt: George @ ASDA
Leggings: Ethel Austin
Shoes: Converse
Bag: Marc B

Finally!

I ordered this bag on the 3rd of January but due to the snow and what not only received it today. I love this bag! It's the perfect size for all of my stuff and has the normal handles and a long strap so can be carried both ways. I already have it in blue but because I use it so much it's a bit battered and broke around the edges.

ASOS Curve: Sneak Peak

ASOS.com is launching Curve, a new Plus Size range for sizes 20-26! Here is a sneak preview of some of the styles that will be available from the end of next week:

Let them know what you think on Twitter.

Hmm so far I'm not overly impressed, whilst I'm not unimpressed I was hoping for a little bit more than staple items. Although, from what I can see of it the white lace dress looks like something that needs to be in my wardrobe! I can't wait to see what else is on offer.

Asos Curve

So after reading on Young, Fat & Faulous that Asos were going to be launching a plus size line at the start of this year, I have been searching around like a loon for any information...and have found nada on the subject! Besides hearing about their search for a model and filling in a quiz for them there doesn't seem to be any more news. So, instead of continuing to spam Google in the hopes of finding something I decided to just ask them what's happening. Not really expecting anything back I was surprised when I got not one but three prompt replies:

ASOS_Nat @StephanieDJL Our plus-size range, Curve will be launching ve-ery soon - we'll keep you posted here, as well as on ASOS Life xx

ASOS_HeretoHelp @StephanieDJL We're pleased to tell you that ASOS Curve is being launched this month. . .keep your eyes peeled! :) x

ASOS_HeretoHelp @StephanieDJL Hey there, our great ASOS Curve range is due to go live v soon but the launch date is subject to change so watch this space x

Still nothing concrete but it's a start and I'll be sure to post the second I find out anything else!

V Love U

Preview of V magazine's size issue shot by Terry Tsiolis. There are few blogs I've come across who aren't blogging about this and it seems everyone has something to say on the subject. This editorial is probably my favourite so far, not because it's any better than the others, but I feel like it's less about making a point and more about highlighting the fabulousness in everybody.
